The Indian Heritage School celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great patriotism and enthusiasm. The event commenced with a warm and inspiring address by our Principal, Mr. Rajan Marwah, followed by the unfurling of the Tricolour, which fluttered proudly in the sky — symbolising our unity in diversity, our rich cultural heritage, and our unwavering spirit as a nation.
On this special day, we remembered the countless sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and reflected upon their vision for India. The programme continued with a solo singing competition, where students presented melodious patriotic songs. Speeches and dances further enriched the celebration, each performance echoing the spirit of freedom. Our Head Boy, Kunal Tulsani, and Head Girl, Mohini Tomar, also shared their heartfelt thoughts on the occasion.
The school also celebrated the festival of Janmashtami with great devotion. Students beautifully depicted the birth of Lord Krishna through vibrant performances and devotional songs. They conveyed the valuable teachings of Shri Krishna, including the significance of righteousness, truth, and duty in life.
The day also marked the Academic Awards Ceremony, where the shining stars of the previous academic year were honoured for their achievements. As we saluted our flag, we pledged to uphold the values of freedom, respect, and progress, while also cherishing the cultural and moral teachings passed down through generations.
